Coordination committee and regroupements
The coordination committee is composed of four members from the federation's executive committee plus regroupement coordinators. Coordinators are designated according to the rules of each regroupement and elected to the coordination committee by the congress. Here are the members who coordinate FNEEQ's regroupements :

Union regroupements
The congress groups unions together by sector (regroupements) using criteria that promote union solidarity. Each regroupement discusses its common problems, decides how to negotiate and how to apply collective agreements. Each regroupement operates autonomously in accordance with its own constitution and by-laws. It determines it own direction, makes its own decisions, and has its own budget. Each regroupement's operating rules are ratified by the federal bureau, which receives an updated activity report at each meeting. There are three regroupements at FNEEQ : regroupement cégep (CEGEP), regroupement université (universities), regroupement privé (private schools).
Regroupement cégep
The regroupement cégep is composed of 46 unions that negotiate together for one collective agreement during public sector negotiations. Taking its cue from members consulted during general assemblies, the regroupement cégep determines the direction negotiations will take, proposes and recommends action plans to assemblies and also recommends the adoption or rejection of negotiation results. It participates in the coordination of CSN public sector federations. The regroupement cégep meets about six times a year, and more often during negotiations. Vice-President Micheline Thibodeau is responsible for the regroupement cégep and holds the public-sector negotiation file. She is also responsible for the International Action committee and oversees the Carnet newsletter and the website.

Regroupement université
The regroupement université is composed of 11 sessional lecturers'unions, one teaching assistants'union, the Télé-Université tutors'union as well as the French as a second language teachers'union at Université Laval. The Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill also belongs to this regroupement. It meets about six times a year. Vice-President Sylvain Marois is responsible for regroupement policies. Coordination Committee member Claire Tremblay is the coordinator.
Regroupement privé
The regroupement privé is composed of 35 private institution unions, mostly at the secondary and college level. It meets about four times a year. Vice-President Caroline Quesnel is responsible for regroupement policy and Coordination Committee member Alexandre Coudé is the coordinator.
