MED, follow the guide !
This guide is meant for cegep teachers placed on availability (MED)
This guide was done to facilitate the understanding of the articles in the FNEEQ(CSN) collective agreement 2005-2010 on the rights of teachers placed on availability (MED*) (5-4.00) It defines the role of the Placement Office (Bureau de placement) and the Parity Placement Committee, the concept of zone, sector, and outside the zone situations. It presents the two major causes that create MED situations: drop of student enrolment and program closure.
Also, it proposes a set of important administrative forms and sample letters relating to MED's situations. Finally, salary and benefits, moving expenses, recycling, relocation, are discussed. Do not hesitate to consult your local union!
